Kellie moved to Seattle two years ago from New England and absolutely loves the mountains, the water, and the people of the Pacific Northwest. She serves on the board of Sustainable West Seattle and has experience not only in edible gardening but cheese making and knitting too!

Despite growing up in the country, Kellie loves every minute of living in the city - especially converting her lawn into an edible landscape. She has veggie beds and a fruit forest, and her biggest garden pest (besides slugs!) is her golden retriever Clover, who is clever enough to know the difference between a ripe and unripe cherry tomato and often helps herself, right off the vine.

When Kellie is not gardening, one of her hobbies is knitting – a skill she taught herself from a library book while in high school. Kellie has been knitting for 15 years and has made hats, mittens, sweaters, blankets, and even a toy dinosaur.

She recently installed solar panels on her roof converting her house to have a net zero impact on the electrical grid. The solar panels will supply all their electrical needs!

Welcome to the team Kellie!!
