Garden Planning - $25

  • 4301 Southwest Edmunds Street Seattle, WA, 98116 United States (map)

In the wonderful and educational space that is the Beacon Food Forest, join Kimberly Leeper to learn all about food forests so you can create your own at home! A food forest is a garden modeled on the structure of a young woodland, utilizing multi-functional plants, including many that are edible. We'll explore benefits of food forests, which include less maintenance and water use, as well as creating beneficial wildlife habitat. You'll get hands-on time in the food forest along with personal time with the instructor to work on analyzing your own site as a food forest. We'll send you home with helpful resources, a little harvest and some propagation material from the Beacon Food Forest, a foundational guild plant for your home food forest.

Each adult can bring a child (ages 12+) with them for free!
