Beginning Sewing: Make Your Own Cloth Napkins - October 8, $50

from 0.00

Do you own a sewing machine, but don’t know how to use it? Has it been sitting in the corner calling to you, but you don’t know where to start? Then
this class is perfect for you! In this beginning sewing class you will learn the basics of your sewing machine, such as how to thread it, wind the bobbin and change stitches and tension. We will also teach you basic measuring and fabric cutting skills and show you some recommended tools. In this class, you’ll cut fabric for a set of 4 cloth napkins and we will focus on the importance of ironing in sewing as well. We may not have time to complete all 4 napkins in class, but you will leave with the skills to finish your napkins at home. You will also have the option to trade fabric with classmates if you want a fun mismatched set!

After purchasing your ticket, you will receive a brief list of supplies that you need for class, including 1 yard of cotton fabric.

Seattle Farm School has two sewing machines available for free rental if you don't have your own. Please select that option at check-out - available while supplies last!
